Goal of the Project

The main aim of the project is diminishing economic and social differences within European Economic Area and the improvement of the education own to the creation of brand new, pilot curricula in vocational education sector according to the requirements of IT sector at the modern labour market

The project "Technologies of the Future in Modern School" benefits from the co-financing of the grant in the amount of 217, 161 EUR received from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway in frames of EOG funds.

The first project meeting April 26th - 27th 2022 in Poland

From 26th Aprl till 27th April we have been hosting our Partner, GeoCamp from Iceland.

As the leader of the project "Technologies of the Future in Modern School", we organized the first partners' meeting at Białystok Technical University.

During the meeting we discussed the issues connected with cooperation of business sector with education, including business tools in the teaching process and the use of specialists' knowledge in the domain of designing curricula at various levels of education.

The project is innovative because its principles are based on the unique, original profiles of education which stemm from the real requirements of labour market of modern technologies sector.

The second project meeting 9th June - 10th June 2022 in Iceland

From 9th June till 10 th June 2022 we organized the second project meeting in frames of the project "Technologies of the Future in Modern School"  with co-financing of the grant received from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway in frames of EOG funds.

 At this meeting we focused on such topics as: elements of gamification in the teaching process and the use of specialists' knowledge in schooling practices. We also met the representatives of University of Iceland and Gróska Community.

The third project meeting 21stOctober - 22nd October in Iceland

This time between 21st October and 22nd October 2022 we launched the third project meeting. The representatives of Partnership for Development Foundation with the friends from Faculty of Computer Science from Białystok Technical University were inspired by the meeting in frames of the project "Technologies of the Future in Modern School" which is co-financed by the grant received from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway in frames of EOG funds.

The exchange of the experiences in vocational education, innovations, new trends in technology has become the content of our international peregrinations.

We visited University of Iceland, Gróska Creative Community which creates the modern space linking business, education and science. Such a vision of education, which promotes the synergy of business and innovation of academic environments, is particularly precious to us.

We also participated in a meeting at the headquarters of the gaming company CCP Games, which created #eveonline - a simulation production of #mmo set in a space #uniwersum.

The fourth project meeting 16.02.2023 

On 16.02.2023 the fourth project meeting was held of the project "Technologies of the Future in Modern School"  with co-financing of the grant received from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway in frames of EOG funds.. Representatives of the Partnership for Development Foundation together with representatives of the Faculty of Informatics of the Bialystok University of Technology hosted the Partner from Iceland GeoCamp Iceland.

During this meeting, further activities in the project were jointly discussed, including the substantive scope of the training, and the organization of the first conference disseminating the project was discussed.

Training in remote education  

Dear All,

We cordially invite the teaching staff of INFOTECH Schools, the teaching staff of Bialystok University of Technology and the staff of GeoCamp ICELAND, as well as entrepreneurs from the IT industry of Podlaskie Voivodeship, to participate in a free training course on modern methods and tools for effective remote teaching as part of the project entitled "Technologies of the future in today's school" subsidized by the EEA funds. Education program. 

The 3-day training will take place: at the INFOTECH Programming Technicum, 40 Ciepła Street, room 202 Bialystok from April 26 to 28, 2023, from 15:30 to 19:30. 

The training will be devoted to the presentation of the latest developments and innovations in the field of IT education. The aim of the training is to increase competence and knowledge of effective teaching methods that prepare students to function in a digital society.

Training topics: 

- Gamification in teaching.

- Using OBS in remote education (Open Broadcaster Software - a multi-platform program that is used for both recording and streaming.

- ChatGPT - as a tool in education.

Recruitment results

 We are pleased to announce that we have completed the recruitment process for the training course 'Modern methods and tools for effective distance learning' as part of the project 'Future technologies in today's school', which will take place on 26-28.04.2023. We would like to thank all those who applied for participation and showed interest in this important topic.

After a careful recruitment process, we have selected 24 participants to take part in our training. We congratulate all those selected and look forward to having you join us for this event. You will soon receive an official invitation with information about the training programme and all the necessary details.

The training course "Modern methods and tools for effective distance learning" aims to familiarise participants with the latest trends, technologies and good practices in the field of distance education. The aim is not only to impart knowledge, but also to inspire the implementation of modern solutions in everyday pedagogical work.

During the three-day training, participants will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, lectures and discussions with experienced practitioners and experts in the field of remote education. Report on the training

eased to announce the completion of the three-day training 'Modern methods and tools for effective remote teaching', which took place on 26-28.04.2023 as part of the project 'Future technologies in today's school'. 

The aim of our training was not only to transmit knowledge, but first and foremost to inspire participants to implement modern solutions in their daily pedagogical work. We achieved this goal by observing the commitment of the participants, the results of the questionnaires and the quality of the discussions.

During the three days of training, participants took part in workshops that focused on the practical application of modern tools in remote education, exchanged experiences, asked questions and shared best practices.

We would like to thank all participants for their active participation and the speakers and experts for their valuable content and inspiration.

 We are sure that the knowledge gained will contribute to the further development and improvement of remote learning methods.


The seminar  on 7.11.2023 r. 

The seminar "Artificial Intelligence: A Challenge for Contemporary Education?" which took place on November 7, 2023, in the Hall of the VII High School in Białystok, gathered over 100 participants, including school directors, teachers, educational and technological experts, and AI enthusiasts.

The seminar program was rich and diverse. Zbigniew Gajewski discussed the key challenges and opportunities of AI in education, focusing on the current state and future of AI-driven educational technologies. Petros Psyllos presented how modern technologies accelerate changes in education and how enterprises can support schools in teaching AI.

Katarzyna Polak, in her presentation, focused on AI tools in the classroom, presenting practical cases and educational tools based on AI, and how to prepare students to work with AI. After lunch, there was a panel discussion on the readiness of contemporary education to adopt AI, in which all the speakers and Piotr Kiercel participated. Karol Przybyszewski, along with Andrzej Chmielewski, also presented examples of good practices in innovative educational programs that emerged as part of the project "Future Technologies in Today's School."

The seminar was an excellent opportunity to delve into the topic of AI in education, to engage in discussions about its future, and to exchange experiences and ideas, which was a step forward in preparing the educational system for future challenges.

Hybrid Conference "Education of Tomorrow: Shaping the Worker 4.0" - 29 November 2023"

On 29 November 2023, a hybrid conference entitled "Education of Tomorrow: Shaping the Worker 4.0" was held. The event, organised at the Faculty of Informatics of the Bialystok University of Technology, became the final activity of our project "Future technologies in today's school". Room 29C was filled with participants both physically present and joining online, creating a dynamic and interactive environment for the exchange of knowledge and experience.

The conference began with an introduction that prepared participants for a series of inspiring talks and discussions. Key topics related to education and the labour market in the digital age were addressed:

New requirements in the labour market: Experts from Poland and Iceland intrigued the audience with their presentations on the changing world of work and the new skills needed in the future.

The future of education in the age of AI: A fascinating discussion focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on vocational education, presenting innovative approaches to teaching.

Pilot programme in Engineering Studies: The results of a pilot programme with Software Development were enthusiastically received, demonstrating the effectiveness of new teaching methods.

The presentation of the new programmes of the INFOTECH Programming Technical School showed how the latest technologies can be integrated into education, inspiring future programmers.

The presented results of the project were met with great interest by the participants.

The conference provided a platform not only for knowledge sharing, but also for new contacts and collaboration between participants. The atmosphere was full of enthusiasm and inspiration, highlighting the importance of the 'Future Technologies in Today's School' project for the future of education and work.


All in all, the 'Education of Tomorrow: Shaping the Worker 4.0' conference proved to be a significant event that not only highlighted the achievements of our project, but also pointed the way forward for the future. We would like to thank all the participants and speakers for their contribution and commitment to this memorable event.
